Spikes and Whiteside are waging a real battle for playing time. Both will play ample minutes at center, but someone has to be the starter.

D. Kane-Might be the best recruit of the Jones era. Can do it all. Nice size. A very solid 6'4". Would remind you of a cross between Tyrone Collins and Laverne Evans. Fearless defender and solid shot. Did I say he can do it all. Looks like a Junior or a Senior right now.

H. Whiteside-Has all the tools to be the best post player since Tom Curry. No mention of JUCO recruit, Antonio Haymon, who, at last report, was dealing with some paperwork issues.

Anybody got an update on Haymon? I think he would be a very important contributor at small forward. Tirelle Baines is about all we have there now.
